Tucson Birthday Celebration - 8/20/12

Tucson's 237th birthday party, held at the Downtown Presidio San Agustin del Tucson on Monday evening, August 20th, 2012. The festivities included the Posting of Colors, Our National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, a Tohono O'odham Nation Invocation, Letter Presentations and Signing of Joint Proclamation with Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild, and the Presentation of Flags, that included flags of the Tohono O'odham Nation, the Pascua Yaqui Nation, the Spanish, the Mexican, the US 28-star, the Confederate, the Arizona, and the American. Afterwards, there was the cutting of the birthday cakes donated by the Mayor's office, other free food, and musical entertainment by singer/guitarist Ted Ramirez.
