Tragedy and Transcendence in Tucson - 1/8/11

On January 8th, 2011, I stepped into the role of photojournalist when I recorded the Gabrielle Giffords “Congress On Your Corner” crime scene. All my training, practice, and instincts as an event photographer came into play capturing the scene. Through the AP, CNN, Getty, and other media outlets, my exclusive, iconic images of the event were spread across the nation and around the world. Other images in this gallery include the President Obama Tucson Memorial visit, the Christine Taylor Greene funeral, and the major vigils/memorials around town.
